I arrived at the sailing course feeling excited, nervous and ready for the day ahead.
First we met at the scout hall; I arrived early so I had to wait for a while whilst everyone else turned up.

Beaver Annual Report - 1 April 2016- 31 March 2017
It’s hard to believe that another year has flown by during which time Beavers have engaged in many varied activities ……. getting out and about as much as possible, in addition to our weekly meetings.
During a Scout meeting, we planned a route from HMS Bristol to Fareham Creek. On the 25th March 2017, we went to Portsmouth Naval Base.
This week saw our Brilliant Beavers learning about local ecology with pond dipping.
Getting ready to sail
The "Time on The Water" badge recognises the time our members spend afloat. This week one of our Scouts, Billy, passed the 200 mark - 4 times the largest badge available! From welsh rivers to Royal Navy Powerboats, from Dutch sailing to the Great River Race and from solo sculling to real team efforts - Billy has put in a huge amount to get here. He is our first to this milestone- we certainly don't think he will be our last!! Well done Billy
From the Queen's Row Barge "Gloriana" to kayaks, our troop has been busy on the water tonight.
12 of our Cubs learnt equestrian skills tonight at Old Barn Stables - from grooming to riding.
